About my Mindful Dance Fitness Classes
Classes are offered in person and online from my studio in Occidental, CA. Everyone moves together, in person and online at the same time. Class is one hour long and includes warm up, cardio, and cool down.
Though we are definitely exercising, it does not feel like an exercise class. It feels like a fun, imaginative journey through inner space - a playful experience of self-discovery through music, movement and sensation.
My classes are based on a practice called NIA Technique. NIA stands for Now I Am, emphasizing the “be here now” aspect of the experience. You will sense your body as you do fun, accessible moves to inspiring world music. Sensing your body helps you be more present in daily life. It is also good for stress reduction and trauma healing.
My classes give you…

Play
My classes feel like play, not work. Let your inner child come out and have some fun!
